Cherry Book Matched Coffee Table
This cherry coffee table is one of the more unique pieces I have made. The cherry top is made from two book matched slabs that are jointed together on the branch rather than the main trunk of the slab. This gives the piece a H or M silhouette. The base is made from walnut and maintains the signature Joe Marshall Woodworks approach of bringing together contrasting architectural and natural forms to make a more complete work. The cherry slab features many walnut patches and butterfly joints, including one in edge grain and another in live edge. This piece is currently featured at Sager Braudis Gallery, Price guide $5500.
